RAW! Mark Hills Straight and Smooth Straightners £99.99!
I had these given to me for Christmas this year, they cost my mum £45.00 but they usually cost around £99.99. If I’m going to be honest I wouldn't have spent more than £45.00 on them, they are a good straightener but when you can get GHD's for the same as the original price of these straighteners you're better of getting the GHD's. However at £45.00 they get the job done.
First off the design is amazing, they are such lovely straighteners and are typical for girly girls, however I did find them incredibly heavy when using and the started to make my arm numb. They are pretty chunky and get in the way when trying to do curls. However they are really easy to grip and I haven't once burnt myself on them which are always a plus!
The thing that annoys me the most though is that the bit at the end where the straightener meets the lead there is a big bulky bit which makes it difficult to rest a work surface. It is also difficult to turn as the lead gets twisted. The shape of the straighteners is really weird, in comparison to other, as it has a bend in it. Also the lead is really heavy, the amount of times my straighteners have fallen off the desk because the lead has pulled them down. It could be really dangerous if you touch it when it falls, or you forget to turn them off.
The ceramic plates are really thick and long which means more hair coverage, this is really good for me as I have really thick hair, what use to take me 15 minutes to straighten my hair now only takes about 5! They also leave your hair feeling really glossy and smooth, I have natural frizzy curls and after straightening I have lovely straight, frizz free hair. The only down side is that when I straighten my fringe it leave it very brittle, I think this may be because it is such a small thin amount of hair as the same happens for the wispy bits around my face that I have when my hair is up. It tugs on them and can pull them out.
I do like though how I can change the temperature on the straighteners and it shows up digitally what the temperature is which is really handy. Being able to change the temperature is really good for me as I have it high on my hair but only warm on my fringe so it doesn't get singed.
Overall I do like my straighteners, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I love them. I think unless you can buy them in the sales then you may as well invest in some other ones. I don't think they are worth the full price of £99.99. They do get the job done, but then so do other cheaper ones.
Pros - Temperature change, colour, ceramic plates, smooth glossy hair.
Cons - Size, lead, small pieces of hair get singed, heavy.

Natural Collection Colour Foundation £1.99
Basically being a student when it comes to make up I can't afford to spend a lot. I needed to find a cheap, efficient foundation. I decided to try the natural collection, i've never really had to use a lot of foundation on my face as luckly my skin is in an ok condition except for the constant shine, which I get rid of by using collection 2000 powder.
I tried testing it in boots but the hand never really gives a good indication as my hands aren't the same colour as my face, however when I put it on my face one of the people working there told me off, so I had to make a random guess. I went for 'biscuit' as it was the closest to my skin tone. I also bought it because it's fragrance-free, I hate the smell of foundation, so this was a pluss for me!
When I got it home I was a bit skeptical about it as it didn't look like it contained a lot but I couldn't really complain it only cost me £1.99!!! It's like a creamy foundation and you really don't need a lot as it spreads really well and covers, it also mixes with my skin tone really well and doesn't look patchy. The only down side would be that if you don't rub it in you will end up with a lovely orange mask. It covered all my spots and blemishes, but as i've said before the only thing it didn't do was get rid of my shine.
For such a small container mine has lasted over 3/4 months so far and thats with applying everyday, it's amazing if you want to look natural but feel you need to be wearing something. I love it and for £1.99 you can't really go wrong!
Pros - lasts for ages, good coverage, blends well and cheap!!
Cons - Leaves a orange mask if not blended, doesn't get rid of shine and not suitable for people who need to wear alot of foundation.

The point?
I always hate it when I buy a product, spend a fortune on it, bring it home and it doesn't do what it's suppose to. All I think is what a waste of money.
I love trying out new things, I always recommend products to my friends
or try and get them to avoid products that I know are a waste of money.
This is why I have created this blog, to let you guys know what you
should and shouldn't be wasting your hard earned cash on. When you buy
something you should always look to see what other people have said,
don't get me wrong, everyone is different and somethings may work for
some and not for others, but if the vast majority say avoid, then
wouldn't you rather buy something else that is more likely to work? Every other day I will be trying something new and testing it to see if
the product does what it says on the package, but it wont just be beauty
products I will also be looking at everything! Time to get my review
guru on!
